According to the company, it is issuing an announcement for the recall of Sara Lee Butter Streusel Coffee Cake with the UPC # 3210002342 and a BEST BY DATE of Oct. 16, 2013 as a precautionary measure because the product may contain pecans, an undeclared allergen, that are not listed on the label. This national recall affects 3,381 pounds of product with the BEST BY DATE of Oct. 16, 2013 on the side panel.

The company has said that the product could have serious or life-threatening reactions to those people who are allergic to pecans. The company has advised such people to avoid these products even if they are retaining some of these products. The company has advised their allergic consumers to return these affected products to the store from where they have purchased it. All the returned products will be refunded by the company.
