According to the latest notification, Denver based Legendary Baking has announced the recalling of 726 Private Selection 9-Inch pies labeled as “Apple Lattice” due to wrong packaging. The product recall announcement was made by the company on November 21, 2012 after it was discovered that a product containing EGG was distributed in a packaging that may not comply with applicable regulations regarding disclosure of EGG as an ingredient.

Private Selection 9-Inch pies labeled as “Apple Lattice” were distributed to Quality Food Centers (QFC) in Washington State and Oregon only, with sell by dates of November 4 through November 26, 2012. The 9-Inch pies are sealed in a brown cardboard box with a see-through plastic label and sold as a fresh item at the consumer level. There have been no illnesses reported till date.

The company has advised consumers to stop using this product immediately and those who have purchased pies labeled as Private Selection 9-Inch Apple Lattice may return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-855-358-8888 Mon-Friday 8:30-5:30 pm CST. Though no adverse incidence pertaining to the product was reported yet, still, the move was taken as a precautionary measure to avoid occurrence of any such incidence in upcoming days.
