Carletha McGuire a Florida plaintiff has filed a lawsuit against the Zimmer Inc. in the United States’ District Court for the Southern District of Florida for sustaining and enduring injuries due to the Zimmer Knee Implant. The lawsuit was transferred to the Multi-district litigation court on December 6 2012 filed to consolidate the case with other Zimmer Knee lawsuits.

According to the lawsuit filed by the Florida based plaintiff and her Zimmer knee lawyer she was implanted with Zimmer’s NexGen CR-Flex knee replacement device in her right knee on the 23rd of January, 2006, at the Cedars Medical Center. However, immediately after the implantation she was forced to undergo revision surgery that she had not anticipated. In her lawsuit the plaintiff has also alleged that the removal of the implant caused her further injuries and has deteriorated the quality of her life and she is entitled to receive compensatory and punitive damages for all those sufferings that she endured all the way through.

With the lawsuit the plaintiff has brought in a number of counts against the manufacturer Zimmer Inc including strict liability, manufacturing defect, breach of express and implied warranties, negligence, failure to warn, and strict liability.
