Patients allergic to Adalimumab should not take this injection. Patients with tuberculosis or other infections should avoid this injection. Patients should consult the doctor about their allergies, medical history or medicines being used to avoid any harmful effect of this drug as it could worsen certain medical conditions or interact with certain drugs. Patients of TB, fungal infection such as histoplasmosis, congestive heart failure, lupus, recurrent infections, hepatitis B infection, decreased bone marrow function, seizures, brain or spinal cord disorders or history of cancer should consult doctor before taking this injection.

Elderly patients are more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, thus they should consult the doctor before having Humira injection. It should be avoided during pregnancy, suspected pregnancy or breast-feeding as its harmful effects to baby are not fully known yet. Patients should avoid vaccination or contact with vaccinated people, while having Humira injections.

It increases the risk of cancer such as lymphoma or autoimmune disorders. The risk is higher in children and young patients. Use of this medicine could lower white blood cell count and make it easy to bleed or catch an infection. Patients should undergo regular blood tests, while using this injection.

Use of Humira could increase risk of fatal infections. Patients should call doctor if they experience fever, sweating, chills, tiredness, shortness of breath, cough, sore throat, flu symptoms or weight loss. Some patients may also experience allergic reactions such as rashes, swelling of face, lips, throat or tongue or hives. Humira could also cause swelling of ankles or feet, confusion, pain or burning while urinating, seizure, chest pain, continuous or bloody cough, easy bruising or bleeding or unusual weakness as a side effect.

Other side effects associated with Humira injections are numbness, weakness in legs, jaundice, mouth sores, pale skin, red, purple or scaly rash on skin, hair loss, joint or muscle pain, swollen glands, vomiting, unusual thoughts or behavior, patchy skin, headache, pain in sinus or stuffed nose.  Some patients may also experience pain, swelling, itching or redness at place of injection. It could also cause fast, irregular or pounding heartbeat, stomach pain or Optic neuritis in some patients.

Patients allergic to Orlistat should not use this medicine. Alli should not be given to a child younger than 18 years old. Patients should consult their medical history with the doctor, before taking Alli, especially if they are suffering from gallbladder problems, or chronic malabsorption syndrome, under active thyroid, a history of gallstones or pancreatitis, type 1 or type 2-diabetes, an eating disorder, liver disease or if they are on other weight-loss medications.

Patients using Alli should avoid high fat diet, as it could adversely affect the stomach or intestines. Some patients may experience difficulty in absorbing fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamins A, D, E, and K. They should ask their doctor for vitamin and mineral supplements. Patients should stick to recommended dosages and course of treatment, as overdose could prove fatal.

Alli is not expected to harm an unborn baby, if taken during pregnancy. But even then patients should tell their doctor if they are pregnant. It could make it tough for the baby to absorb certain vitamins. Thus nursing mothers should also avoid this medicine, while breast-feeding.

Use of Alli could cause many side effects such as oily or fatty stools, orange or brown colored oil in stool, gas with discharge, an oily discharge, loose stools, loss of control on bowel movements, increased bowel movements, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rectal pain, weakness, dark urine, clay-colored stools, itching, loss of appetite, or jaundice.

It could also cause problems with teeth or gums, stuffy nose, sneezing, cough, fever, chills, sore throat, flu symptoms, headache, back pain or allergic reactions. Allergic reactions should be swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat, hives, rashes, itching or shortness of breath. Some patients may also suffer from pancreatitis. Its symptoms are stomach pain spreading to back, nausea, vomiting and fast heartbeats.

Patients allergic to dabigatran should not take this medicine. Patients should consult their doctor about their medical history especially any active bleeding from a surgery, injury, or other cause, kidney disease, a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, if they are older than 75, as it may worsen these conditions. Pradaxa prevents clotting in the blood, thus it makes easier to bleed. Patients may avoid activities, which inculcate risk of minor injury or bleeding. They should also avoid alcohol consumption as it could lead to stomach or intestinal bleeding. Patients should inform their doctor if they had taken Pradaxa within the past 12 hours, before going for surgery, dental treatment, any type of test or medical treatment. It could cause hemorrhage or heart attacks too in some patients.

Its use could cause weakness, easy bruising, unusual bleeding from any body part including nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum, blood in cough or heavy menstrual bleeding. Some patients may also have purple or red spots on skin, pink or brown urine, bloody or tarry stools, joint pain or swelling or feeling like passing out. Allergic reaction such as shortness of breath, rashes, itching, hives or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat could also occur as a side effect of this medicine. Some other side effects include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, upset stomach, indigestion or heartburn.

Patients should undergo regular blood tests to find out the effects of Valium on the patients.

Patients being pregnant, suspecting pregnancy, planning to conceive or breast-feeding should not use it. It could harm the unborn or newborn baby. Patients should use effective methods of contraception, while using this medicine. It could cause low blood pressure, breathing problems, or addiction and withdrawal symptoms in a newborn if taken by a pregnant patient.

Its use could cause severe allergic reactions including swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat, shortness of breath, hives and rashes. Other side effects produced by Valium are hallucinations, confusion, unusual thoughts or behavior, depressed mood, thoughts of suicide, unusual risk-taking behavior, decreased inhibitions, no fear of danger, restlessness, irritability, hyperactivity, agitation, aggression, hostility, seizures and feeling like passing out. Some patients may experience tremor, muscle trembling, loss of control on bladder, stopped or decreased urination, tiredness, trouble in remembering things, sensation, drowsiness or dizziness.  It could also cause digestion problems such as      nausea and constipation. It could cause Propylene glycol toxicity in some patients. Drooling or dry mouth, changes in speech or vision and loss of interest in sex could also occur as a side effect of Valium injections.

Patients who are pregnant, planning to have a baby or mothers who are breast-feeding should not have this injection as it may harm the unborn or newborn child. If a patient has received Cleviprex injection ever, it is advisable to tell the doctor if the patient was pregnant afterwards. Patients using other medicines or having food allergies, pancreatitis, adrenal gland tumor or heart disease should tell their doctor about these conditions before having Cleviprex injection to be prevented from any severe side effect.

This injection could lead to allergic reactions and patients may suffer from hives, shortness of breath, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Some patients may also have feeling of passing out. Other serious side effects of this injection includes slow heart rate, stoppage or decrease in urination, drowsiness, confusion, mood changes, increased thirst, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, mild exertion, swelling, sudden weight gain, chest pain expanding up to the arm or shoulder, sweating or headache. Some patients may also suffer Hypotension as their blood pressure dips too low. There may be renal failure or hypoxemia in some patients too.

Mirena package consists of an inserter which is used to insert Mirena in uterine cavity. After placing the device, inserter is discarded. Once it is placed, the device starts releasing hormone Levonorgestrel. It can prevent pregnancy up to 5 years. Mirena is used in sexually active women, who have had one child at least. It is also advised to women who experience heavy bleeding during their menstrual cycle and want to have an intrauterine contraception. Only a small amount of this hormone reaches the blood stream. One of the disadvantages of Mirena is that it doesn’t protect from sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Use of Mirena could lead to many side effects including irregular vaginal bleeding, cramps, breast pain, or other allergic reactions. Some women can even suffer from lack or delaying of menstrual period. Other side effects related to this IUD are swelling or itching in vagina or painful intercourse. This device could also lead to heavy vaginal bleeding, unusual vaginal discharge, which has bad smell, sores in vagina or chronic pelvic pain. The device has also been reported to cause uterine perforation lately. Some cases have been reported when this device has pierced into uterine wall damaging uterus in the patients using it.

Women who are allergic to Levonorgestrel or any progestin hormone should not use Mirena as it contains Levonorgestrel as main active ingredient. A woman should be sure that she is not pregnant before having a Mirena insertion. Women who are or who have suffered from uterine endometriosis, uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory diseases or PIDs should not use this IUD. In case a woman has had an ectopic pregnancy or is doubtful that she may be pregnant, it is not safe to use Mirena as it could lead to premature birth or even abortion in some cases. Women, who are already using an IUD, are not advised to use Mirena. A patient should also tell the doctor about her medical history as many medical conditions or drugs could interact with this device and could lead to severe medical conditions.

Mirena may come out or move out by itself sometimes. In such cases pregnancy or uterine perforation or other serious medical conditions may follow. If a woman gets pregnant while using Mirena, it can lead to premature birth or other birth defects or complications. If a woman feels that the device is out of place, she should immediately consult the doctor. It does not protect from other sexually transmitted diseases including HIV. Consult your doctor to know other preventive methods.

Doctors also advise not to use Mirena while being pregnant or during breast-feeding period as the hormone levonorgestrel may pass into breast-milk and harm the child.

Patients should wear it for three full weeks, followed by one full week without a ring. The timing of ring insertion and removal should be accurate as asked by the doctor, as it plays a very important role in effectiveness of this form of birth control. It could increase risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack, especially if patient is older than 35 or smokes. This medication may sometimes cause serious blood clot problems such as pulmonary embolism, stroke or heart attack.

This ring should not be used by pregnant women as it could cause birth defects in the unborn child. It is advisable to consult doctor immediately if a patient gets pregnant, while using it. The medication from this ring passes into breast milk and thus should be used cautiously by nursing mothers. Patients with history of stroke or blood clot, circulation problems, breast or uterine cancer, abnormal vaginal bleeding, liver disease or liver cancer, severe high blood pressure, migraine headaches, a heart valve disorder, or a history of jaundice caused by birth control pills should not use this ring. Patients should consult their allergies, medical history and medications being with their doctor.

The use of NuvaRing could produce allergic reactions such as hives, breathlessness, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. It could also cause sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body, confusion, vision changes or pain behind eyes, disturbance in balance or speech, chest pain expanding to arms, nausea, sweating and other such conditions. Some patients may also experience migraine headaches or worsening of existing migraine. Other side effects are stomach pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools or jaundice.

Serious side effects such as vaginal discomfort or irritation, increased vaginal discharge, or tenderness or enlargement in breasts may occur due to use of this ring. Some patients may experience vaginal bleeding between periods, irregular periods or missed periods. It is advisable to consult the doctor in such condition. Vaginal rings may sometimes cause bacterial infection and some patients may develop Vaginitis. This drug is also linked to serious respiratory tract infection.

Use of this medicine could cause nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach pain, bloating, dizziness, and serious blood clots problem such as pulmonary embolism, stroke or heart attack.  Some patients may experience vaginal discomfort or irritation, increased vaginal fluids, tenderness or enlargement in breasts. It could also affect acne. Some patients may also experience missed or irregular periods especially in first few months.

Other side effect linked with this medicine is chest pain. Some patients may experience nausea or vomiting too. Use of this medicine could also cause shortness of breath, pain in arm, confusion, dizziness, fainting, pain in calf, tingling, weakness or numbness in the arms or legs. Some patients may suffer from chronic headache too. It could lead to migraine or worsening of existing migraines.

Depo-Provera injections are injected into muscle or under the skin. It is needed to be injected once a week or once in a trimester, according to patient’s need. It is not meant for prevention of sexually transmitted diseases or STDs such as HIV and AIDS. Patients need to use other form of contraception for preventing STDs.

This medicine should not be used by pregnant woman for any purpose as its use could cause birth defects in the unborn child. If a patient becomes pregnant, while using this medicine, she should immediately contact her doctor. Patients allergic to medroxyprogesterone, should not use Depo-Provera. Patients who are suffering from unusual vaginal bleeding, liver disease, or a history of breast cancer, heart attack, stroke, or blood clot, should not use this drug.

Medroxyprogesterone present in Depo-Provera could cause bone loss or osteoporosis, if taken for long duration. A patient suffering from kidney diseases, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, migraine headaches, diabetes, asthma, bone disease, osteoporosis, seizures or depression should also not use this drug. It could also pass to breast-feeding infants through breast milk and harm them. Nursing mothers should avoid this drug.

Use of Depo-Provera could cause changes in menstrual periods such as longer or heavier menstrual periods, weight gain, weakness, headache, confusion or disturbance of vision, speech and balance. It could also produce allergic reactions such as rashes, swelling or shortness of breath. Chest pain, sudden cough, rapid breathing, coughing up blood could also occur due to use of this medicine.

It could also cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice or other liver related problems.  These could be symptoms of serious liver diseases. Other side effect is decreased sex drive. Use of this medicine could also cause breast tenderness, lumps or breast cancer.

Patients with history of stroke or blood clot, circulation problems, breast or uterine cancer, abnormal vaginal bleeding, liver disease, high blood pressure, migraine headaches, a heart valve disorder, or jaundice should avoid these pills. It could also increase risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack in patients older than 35 years. Smoking while having these pills also increases such risks. Consulting to a doctor about her medical history before using these pills, could prevent a patient from worsen medical conditions.

Use of these pills could cause allergic reactions, weakness, headache or disturbance in vision, speech or balance. It could also cause nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, jaundice, yellowing of the skin or eyes. These could be symptoms of serious liver diseases. It could also cause depression and such problems including sleep disorders and mood changes. It could also cause heart disease, shortness of breath and worsen the condition in patients already suffering from heart problems.

It is also used for treatment of symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder or PMDD. Overdose symptoms of this drug are nausea, vomiting, or vaginal bleeding. It does not protect from sexually transmitted diseases

This medicine should not be used in pregnancy or suspected pregnancy as it is meant for prevention of pregnancy. Patients should immediately consult a medical practitioner, if they pregnant, while using this pill. Patients should wait for at least 4 months after giving birth to start these pills.

Patients who are suffering from heart valve disorder, a history of stroke, a history of blood clots, history of heart attack, circulation problems, a blood-clotting disorder, coronary heart disease, breast or uterine cancer, unusual vaginal bleeding, kidney or liver disease should avoid this medicine. Other medical conditions such adrenal gland disorder; uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe migraines or jaundice also demands avoiding this medicine. Patients who are 35 or older or smoke, while having this drug are at more risk of developing heart or blood clotting problems. .

Patients suffering from high cholesterol or triglycerides, high levels of potassium in blood, diabetes, seizures, epilepsy or depression should also avoid this medicine. Hormones present in this medicine can easily pass in the breast milk and thus could easily reach to the breast-feeding infant and harm them. Nursing mothers should be cautious while using this medicine.

Incivek is normally given to those Hepatitis C patients, who have not received any treatment before hand or interferon and ribavirin have failed in their treatment. It should not be taken alone. Patients, who are allergic to telaprevir, should not use this medicine. Patients should also tell doctor about medicines being used and ask the doctor before using other medicine, while using Incivek as it could produce severe health conditions by interacting to certain medicines.

Ribavirin could cause birth defects or death in the unborn baby. Thus use of Incivek with it should be avoided by females who are pregnant, or planning to have a baby. Men should not use Incivek with interferon alfa and ribavirin if their sexual partner is pregnant or trying to conceive. If a man fathers the child while taking Ribavirin, even then the baby could be harmed. Patients should plan to have a child at least after six months of stopping use of these drugs; otherwise, child may suffer harmful effects. Patients should use an effective contraceptive, while using this combination of drugs. Nursing mothers should also avoid these drugs.

Use of Incivek could cause severe skin reactions and patient may experience fever, sore throat, swelling in face or tongue, burning in eyes, pain or redness in skin, rashes, blistering and peeling of skin. It could also cause hives or shortness of breath. Other severe side effects include paling of skin, light-headedness, rapid heart rate, trouble in concentration, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and changes in taste. Some patients may experience rectal itching, burning, or discomfort. It could also cause anemia in some patients.

It causes sleepiness and drowsiness, thus patients should avoid driving, operating machinery or other activities needing alertness and care as it could be dangerous. Use of Horizant may cause suicidal thoughts or actions in some patients. In such conditions, it is advisable to immediately seek medical help. Patients should seek medical help if any alarming side effect such as thoughts about suicide or dying, attempt to commit suicide, new or worse depression, new or worse anxiety, agitation, restlessness, panic attacks, sleeping problems, irritability, aggressiveness, violence, hyper activity or behavioral changes occur.

Patients who are pregnant or expecting mothers or nursing mothers who are breast-feeding should not use this medicine as it could harm the unborn or newborn baby. Use of Horizant should not be stopped suddenly, without asking a doctor.

Thalassemic patients get excess of iron in their body, as they need frequent blood transfusion. This iron overload could be fatal for some patients. Patients with history of episodes of neutropenia or low white blood cell count or agranulocytosis should not use this medicine.

Patients should tell the doctor about any medication being used especially antacids that contain aluminum or supplements that contain iron or zinc, prescription, over-the-counter, vitamin, and herbal products. Patients should not use any other medicine while using Ferriprox, without consulting the doctor.

Ferriprox is an FDA approved pregnancy category D medicine and could harm an unborn baby. Patients should not use this drug, while being pregnant, suspecting pregnancy or planning to be pregnant as it could lead to fatal results. An effective method of birth control should be used while using this drug. It could easily pass into breast milk and harm the feeding infant, thus nursing mothers should avoid his medicine.

Use of Ferriprox could cause symptoms of infection such as fever, sore throat or flu-like symptoms. Other such symptoms include palpitations, dizziness, lightheadedness, syncope or seizures. In such conditions, patients should immediately call the doctor. Patients must have blood tests regularly, to check that the patients are not suffering from any harmful effect of this drug.

It could produce allergic reactions such as hives, breathing problem, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Its use could result into severe diseases such as neutropenia or agranulocytosis (low white blood cell count). It increases the risk of infections. Its use could also cause elevated liver enzymes, mild nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting, changes in appetite or headache.
